AIMS

The Society was formed in November 2000 to assist those researching family history and genealogy throughout the county of West Lothian.
This site is intended to promote the new Society and showcase everything and anything of interest.


MEETINGS

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month September to June 7.00 - 9.00 pm in the Heritage and Information Centre, County Buildings, High Street, Linlithgow, EH49 7EZ.
When we have a Guest Speaker, our meeting is held in the Community Centre, Ashgrove, Blackburn, EH47 7LJ.


MEMBERSHIP

Membership is available to anyone with an interest in family history in, or relating to, West Lothian.
Membership year runs from 1st September to 31st August.

SUBSCRIPTION

Our annual subscription fee is £10.00 for UK Members, £15.00 for Joint Membership (two members from same UK address) and £12.00 for Overseas Members.

	Property Records - Valuation Rolls from 1855 to date in various forms.

	c. 11,000 photographs.
	Hearth tax and poll tax records for West Lothian parishes (1690s).
	We have a room in the Local History Library, Linlithgow where all our acquisitions (books, CDs, etc.) are held.
