Our next regular meeting of the new session is on Tuesday 2nd October, usual time 7pm till 9pm.
If you have not already paid your membership, Alan Bowden, our membership secretary will be taking annual subscriptions this evening and other Council members will be there to help you with anything you need help with. Tea and coffee will also be available to help yourself to.
This meeting will be a Gues' a haun' night where we will set up small help groups focusing on internet sites like Ancestry, Find My Past, Family Search etc. So if you have any queries being them along and we will see if we can solve them for you.
Our next visit to Register House in Edinburgh will be on Tuesday 16th October 2018.
Remember that we have volunteers both at Lanthorn (inside the Library) is where we have all our acquisitions in our office there and we are open on a Monday 10am till 3pm and a Thursday 11am till 4pm ONLY
Linlithgow Local History - our volunteers are there on a Wednesday and a Friday from about 10.30am until 3pm.
During that time our volunteers may be looking for something to do if they are not busy with visitors, so please if you have any queries, email us and we will see if we can solve them for you. Or why not use the Forum to ask your questions, who knows perhaps another member may just have the answer??
If you are too far away to visit, you can always email your query or request a look up at Register House that you are having problems with.
Have you discovered something interesting in your research yet, if so, how about using the holidays to write up a story about your research for our Oaktree, our Editor would love to hear from you with any stories of interest about your research or what you have discovered while doing it.
