I don't know of the Jacksons, but I can tell you that their mother's eldest sister, Agnes Moffat Orr (1872-1941), was my great-grandmother.

Hi Elma,

Grace Nimmo Cruickshanks (1893-1968) was the daughter of Richard Cruickshanks (1861-1945) and Annie Dewar (1857-1941). Annie Dewar's parents were Robert Dewar and Grace Nimmo. I don't have any parent details for Grace Nimmo, as my line there is the Cruickshanks.

Hi Elma,

My Dad was Nancy's younger brother. Their mother came from Harthill.

As they are immediate family, I would rather any more info regarding them is discussed off the forum (by PM or e-mail).

Most of her family ancestors can be found named on headstones in the cemetery at Kirk o' Shotts.

Wondering if My John Nimmo is related to your Grace Nimmo Crckshanks.as I have been looking for John Nimmo's parent and apossiblity is James Nimmo and Janet Cruckshanks Fr 469 on scotlands People. Parish Bathgate.This is maybe along shot.
John married Mary Bishop 2 Jan 1831 Liningston West Lothian.

Not that I know of.

Grace Nimmo Cruickshanks' mother was Annie Dewar (1857-1941). Annie's parents were Robert Dewar and Grace Nimmo. Grace Nimmo (1825-1889) was born in Carnwath to Thomas Nimmo (c.1795-1861) and Janet Pillans (c.1794-1877). According to his death ceretificate, Thomas's parents were Thomas Nimmo and Grace Haddow.

Do any of these names show up in your research?

I have another Nimmo marrying into another branch of my family tree. Betsy Nimmo (c.1853-1925), daughter of Alexander Nimmo (c.1811-1863) and Agnes Moffat (1820-1881). Alexander was another son of the above Thomas Nimmo and Grace Haddow.
