David was my great grandfather and lived in Hobart Tasmania..I have been researching his name, and sometimes it comes up as David Welch. Have found a David Welsh on the convict ship "Theresa" which sailed from London on 1 April 1845.to Hobart arriving 4 July 1845.He was tried in Glasgow at the age of 18yrs for theft and transport to Hobart. Can anyone give me any details of his family.Found on Ancestry 1841 Census James Welsh with parents James and Mary in county Kirkcudbrightshire. Don't know if this is my David Stuart Walsh

Have discovered David Welsh was tried in Glasgow 8 Jan 1845.His mother was Ellen who was a native of Glasgow.He had a brother Peter and sister Ellen.
Does anyone have any information on this family??
